I'd like to support multiple fuel tanks with the ability to specify preference or allocate the fuel among them, but at present this is beyond the scope of SkyDemon. There will come a time where we're closing the last remaining functionality gaps between SkyDemon and certain other well-known flight planning software where we will no doubt implement this functionality.

I fly a plane with 6 tanks in different arm positions. For me it would be helpful to have the program automatically allocate fuel to prioritised tanks, I.e. First mains, second outboards, third nacelle tanks.

Another plane I fly has two huge tanks, one eack wing, but the arm varies depending on how full they are. I guess I need to be able to add lots of 'tanks' for different arms, but again have the programme fill or empty them in order. So, the solution could be similar to above.

I have a similar problem to Nick on a Dr340 which is a similar airframe with the tanks laid out in the same way. I can get the weight and balance to work on it's own (manually entering the fuel) or I can label the fuselage tank as just "Fuel" as the wing tanks have negligible affect on the W & B.

Is it possible to allow something other than just the word "Fuel" in the W & B window for the fuel load? Maybe we could tag some extra text after the word "fuel" such as "Fuel Main" and the other tank/s could then be "Wing Fuel" so SD doesn't try to use this for it's W & B calculation. Alternatively, could we nominate which tank SD assumes the fuel goes in?

Cheers BJ

PS I've been really impressed with SD & about to renew my subscription, keep up the good work thanks!

By "allowed for it" do you mean you'd like SkyDemon to allow you to specify the distribution of fuel between all the tanks? At present it will let you create all the tanks as loading points and to specify how much fuel you'll be carrying, but you would just have to distribute the fuel weight among the tanks yourself.

I fly a robin dr400 with three tanks, one on each wing and a main in the rear. It would be a help if the program allowed for it.

I have set the main tank as fuel as it has a greater effect on the cofg and the wing tanks as juice with just the weight being allowed for.
